Paternity Test

The process of matching the genetic information from the father to the child with certain regions is called paternity testing. If the analyzed regions are the same as those of the father, the father of the child is determined. DNA testing allows people to identify themselves by looking at their DNA profiles. It is practiced by geneticists. These profiles are encrypted strings of numbers.

Thanks to today’s technology, the baby in the womb can be tested when necessary. During this process, the health of the mother and baby is prioritized. Testing can be done after the 9th week of pregnancy. While the paternity test was applied from amniotic fluid or cord blood in the past, the blood sample taken from the mother is sufficient for this test thanks to today’s technology. It results in the same time as the classical DNA test.
