HIV Test

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that targets the body’s immune system, especially the white blood cells called CD4+ T lymphocyte.

CD4 cell count is a measure of a person’s immune system functioning.

The infection caused by the virus by settling in various tissues causes the person’s immune system to collapse.

Thus, the person carrying this virus becomes unable to cope with even very simple microbes.

Treatable diseases such as tuberculosis, hepatitis, diarrhea, meningitis, pneumonia can turn into fatal diseases for the person, and in some cases, even cancer can be caught.

HIV; Unprotected sexual contact is the most common mode of transmission, as it is spread by body fluids such as blood, semen, vaginal fluid, pre-ejaculation or breast milk.

Those who have unprotected sexual intercourse and those who use non-sterile needles and punctures that may come into contact with HIV-positive blood should definitely have an HIV test.
